Disinfectant with bacteriostatic, bactericidal and, to a lesser extent, fungicidal and viricidal properties.

Its absorption and likeliness of passing into plasma through the skin is negligible.

Alcohol, as a topical antiseptic, is compatible with breastfeeding (WHO 2002).

When topically used as disinfectant, alcohol does not increase alcohol levels in breast milk (Han 2022) ​​​​​​and is compatible with breastfeeding. (WHO 2002)
