カルビマゾール

Riesgo muy bajo

Seguro. Compatible. Mínimo riesgo para la lactancia y el lactante.

Prodroga que se metaboliza enteramente a metimazol (véase ficha), siendo equivalente al 60% del mismo.

Se excreta en leche materna en cantidad clínicamente no significativa (Low 1979, Johansen 1972, Rylance 1987) y no se han observado problemas en lactantes cuyas madres lo tomaban (Rylance 1987). Los niveles en plasma de dichos lactantes fueron muy bajos (Rylance 1987).

Dosis de hasta 30 mg diarios se han demostrado seguras para el lactante (Lamberg 1984, Verd 1998, Bartalena 2005) a corto (niveles hormonales) y a largo plazo (desarrollo psicomotor).
