The leaf and stem of the plant are used. It contains organic acids (γ-linoleic, oleic, lauric, lauric, myristic, palmitic, stearic, arachidonic), minerals (sulfur, silicon, calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, sodium, manganese, zinc and copper), triterpene saponins, fatty acids, mainly unsaturated, polyphenols, flavonoidsand small amounts of tannins and anthocyanosides and alkaloids. Properties attributed in traditional medicine: digestive and hepatoprotective. It is also used topically to relieve eczema and pain from trauma. (Fitoterapia.net)

At the time of the last update, we found no published data on its excretion in breast milk.

Plant devoid of toxicity. Its moderate consumption would be compatible with breastfeeding.
