The leaf and stem of the plant are used. It contains organic acids (γ-linoleic, oleic, lauric, lauric, myristic, palmitic, stearic, arachidonic), minerals (sulfur, silicon, calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, sodium, manganese, zinc and copper), triterpene saponins, fatty acids, mainly unsaturated, polyphenols, flavonoidsand small amounts of tannins and anthocyanosides and alkaloids.
