White Nettle, Archangel

Safe product and/or breastfeeding is the best option.

The inflorescences of the plant are used. It contains glycosides, flavonoids (rutoside, quercetin, kaempferol, etc.) and tannins. Properties attributed without clinical evidence: expectorant, anti-diarrhoeal, anti-inflammatory for the skin. Indication Commission E of the German Ministry of Health: cough, bronchitis, pharyngitis, dermatitis (Blumenthal 1998). It is not effective in the treatment of dermatitis. (Shapira 2005)

At the date of the last update, we found no published data on its excretion in breast milk.

Some of its components, such as quercetin, are excreted in breast milk and their concentration increases with diets rich in products containing it. (Williamson 2025, Romaszko 2014, Song 2013)

Plant with no toxicity. Moderate consumption is compatible with breastfeeding.
