Nootropic used without evidence of efficacy in the treatment of various cerebrovascular and mental diseases and rheumatoid arthritis. Also promoted as a tonic.

At the date of the last update, the authors did not find any published data on its excretion in breast milk.

The scarcity of published pharmacokinetic data does not allow us to predict its possible excretion in breast milk.

Product with very few bibliographic references, marketed in very few countries. Considered a drug of low therapeutic utility (SEFAP 2012, UN 2005, INSALUD 2001).

Until more published data is known about this drug in relation to breastfeeding, known safer alternatives may be preferable, especially during the neonatal period and in the event of prematurity.

Suggestions made at e-lactancia are done by APILAM team of health professionals, and are based on updated scientific publications. It is not intended to replace the relationship you have with your doctor but to compound it. The pharmaceutical industry contraindicates breastfeeding, mistakenly and without scientific reasons, in most of the drug data sheets.
