An antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal agent.
Used topically, locally, via pill or mouthwash and dermatological and vaginal preparations.
Since the last update date we have not found published data on its excretion in breastmilk.
The small dose and low plasma absorption of most oral, dermatological and vaginal topical preparations make it unlikely that significant amounts will transfer to breastmilk.
Systemic absorption of dequalinium through skin, mouth or vagina has been shown to be insignificant (Mendling 2016).
Do not apply on the chest or clean well before breastfeeding.
