Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor diuretic used in the treatment of glaucoma and also intracranial hypertension and in certain epilepsies. Oral administration one to four times a day.
It is excreted in breast milk in a clinically insignificant amount and no problems have been observed in infants whose mothers took it in doses up to 1,500 mg (1.5 g) daily. (Ibrahim 2019, Söderman 1984).
