Extracted from Artemisia annua a plant that is used in China for malaria treatment. It has been included in WHO’s Model List of Essential Drug and considered a suitable medication during breastfeeding.

Se utiliza asociado a lumefantrina (Coartem) para el tratamiento del paludismo por plasmodium falciparum sin complicaciones.
